EAST WALKER RIVER

EAST WALKER RIVER- The flows on the river are down around 207 today, and the fishing has been picking up nicely again. There's still the usual caddis nymph and midge action, and we've also been getting some good reports on streamers like hornbergs, buggers and grey ghosts, as well as crawfish patterns. For nymphs you can go with buckskin caddis, z-wing caddis, fox's poopah, rainbow warriors, ice nymphs, flashback emergers, etc.

SCEIRINE RANCH -The Sceirine is still fishing great, lots of bookings down there coming up so if you want to get onto the private water try to give us a call ahead of time so we can get you in. Copper johns, birds nests, poxyback stones, zuddlers, zonkers, hoppers have all been doing well down there.

BRIDGEPORT RESERVOIR

BRIDGEPORT RESERVOIR - The reservoir is still fishing great, there's been some good trolling action, bait fishing from boats, fly fishing from tubes or boats, and even the shore fishing has picked up this week. It seems that as the lake level has started to go down a little bit (it's still about 85% full) it's choked out the inlets a bit with weeds, this seems to have pushed the fish into deeper water where the trolling is good. There's lots of fish hanging out down near the dam where there are fairly easy to catch from the shore or trolling. The fishing out there should just keep getting better as the weather keeps getting cooler.

KIRMAN LAKE

KIRMAN LAKE -Had some pretty good reports from Kirman this week as well, brookies in the 17 and 18 inch range and a couple cutts that are going over 20. Leech patterns like zuddlers, zonkers and double bunnies have been doing well up there, as well as scud and small midge patterns.

TWIN LAKES

TWIN LAKES - The Twins are hanging in there still with some good trolling action as well as bait fishing and some fly fishing. For flies try a matuka with a soft hackle dropper, for bait it's been power bait and crawlers, and for trolling it's been good with blades and needlefish, blades and crawlers, and small rapalas.

WEST WALKER RIVER

WEST WALKER RIVER - The West Walker has been great this past week, both in the canyon section and in the Pickle Meadows area. The dry action has been good with hoppers and ants as well as elk hair caddis and small stimulators. Crawlers and eggs have been doing well with bait and for lures try out a panther martin or thomas bouyant.

VIRGINIA LAKES

VIRGINIA LAKES - The Virginias are fishing well with flies like seal buggers and matukas, lures like thomas bouyants and panther martins, and for bait try power eggs and crawlers. There's been some nice Alpers fish stocked in there and some good 4 and 5 pounders are coming in.

Silver Lake Fish Report

Wow, fishing just continues to stay strong. We have had a number of very impressive rainbows come out of Silver lake and Rush Creek this past week. We recieved another load of Alpers trout and a load of DFG fish in both the creek and the lake, which has maintained a great level of fishing that is very good for this time of year.
